Baseball Recap: Central Arkansas Christian Victorious

Central Arkansas Christian lost to Catholic back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 7-4.

Brady McEntyre looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Central Arkansas Christian's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Connor Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Taylor is becoming a predictor of the Mustangs' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 9-12 when he doesn't). Another was Jack Bingenheimer, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Central Arkansas Christian now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Central Arkansas Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Catholic, they will challenge Little Rock Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Rockets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
