Flag Football Recap: Enloe Falls Short Against Ranked Wakefield

Enloe faced Wakefield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Eagles had to suffer through a 47-0 loss at the hands of the Wolverines. The loss leaves the Eagles still looking for their first win of the season.

Leading Wakefield to victory were Sara Barlett and Quinn Pope. Barlett gained 116 total yards and three touchdowns, while Pope rushed for 56 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries. Those 56 rushing yards gave Pope a new career-high.

Enloe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wakefield, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Enloe wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 45-0 loss against Corinth Holders on the 23rd. As for Wakefield, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-0 victory against Broughton on the 23rd.
