Softball Recap: Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Seymour Indians. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly five runs.

Mylee Tracy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mia McCombs, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and two stolen bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lucie Dion, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's record now sits at 17-5. As for Seymour, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-9-1 record.
