Baseball Game Preview: O'Connor Panthers vs. Stevens Falcons

For the second straight game, O'Connor will face off against Stevens. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

O'Connor's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Monday, when they got past Stevens' usually-dominant pitching crew. The Panthers blew past the Falcons 12-1. The Panthers have beaten the Falcons the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Falcons has come to flipping the script.

Myles DeLaVega spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gabe Chavana, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Potter, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Stevens and nudges their season record down to 13-12-1. As for O'Connor, their win bumped their record up to 8-14-3.
