Basketball Recap: Decatur Christian Find Success

Decatur Christian took a 53-point defeat the last time they faced off against Westfair Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors pulled ahead with a 40-39 photo finish over Westfair Christian on Thursday.

Several Westfair Christian players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Breckon Sloter, who posted 16 points. Jace Hansen was another key player, putting up ten points.

Decatur Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Westfair Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Decatur Christian and Westfair Christian will both be playing Maranatha Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Westfair Christian will head out to face the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Warriors will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
