Basketball Game Preview: West Davidson Dragons vs. East Burke Cavaliers

The West Davidson Dragons will venture away from home to square off against the East Burke Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Monday, West Davidson came up short against Salisbury and fell 51-40.

Meanwhile, East Burke came tearing into Friday's game with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.9 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Blue Devils with points to spare, taking the game 73-57.

West Davidson better keep an eye on Braelyn Stilwell. She was instrumental in East Burke's win, to rack up 35 points along with eight steals and six assists. Stilwell's big performance that evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Kara Brinkley, who en route to 14 points.

East Burke's win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points over those games. As for West Davidson, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
