Basketball Recap: Prospect Falls Short Against Ranked Fremd

On Thursday, Prospect faced Fremd in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Prospect Knights took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fremd Vikings. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost eight in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Prospect lost, don't look at Allison Linke. Despite the final result, she posted 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Linke has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played.

Prospect's defeat dropped their record down to 24-7. As for Fremd, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.
