Soccer Recap: West Allegheny Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for West Allegheny after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Moon Area Tigers by a score of 2-1. West Allegheny have struggled against Moon Area recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

West Allegheny's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Moon Area, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Coming up, West Allegheny will challenge Shady Side Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Moon Area, they will take on Our Lady of the Sacred Heart at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
