Volleyball Recap: Reed Comes Up Short

If Reed was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North Valleys on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders came up short against the Reno Huskies on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Raiders have suffered since August 21st.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-16.

Jaxsynn Bailey paced Reed's offense, picking up six kills. Bailey got some help from TeLaukie Pedro-Cabanada and her 14 assists. Pedro-Cabanada was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Reed's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-8. As for Reno, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reed will venture away from home to challenge Hug at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Reno, they will head out to square off against North Valleys at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
