Soccer Game Preview: Adamsville vs. Madison

Adamsville is 1-8 against Madison since August of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Cardinals will look to defend their home pitch against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Adamsville proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by five) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Peabody, sneaking past 2-1. Adamsville haven't had any issues with Peabody recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Madison walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lions a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. Madison might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Scotts Hill with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ava Torres (6), Lola Greenway (2), EmmaBeth Neihoff, and Maria Saia.

Madison's win bumped their record up to 13-5-1. As for Adamsville, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1.
