Idalia is on an eight-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Peetz is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wolves will host the Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Idalia knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Peetz likes a good challenge.
Idalia is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sierra Grande 56-7. Fans of the Wolves have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Idalia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kolby Morris, who rushed for 70 yards and a pair of scores. That's the most rushing yards Morris has posted since back in August. Hunter Drullinger was in the mix too, providing Idalia with two touchdowns.
Idalia's run defense was locked in: Sierra Grande could only muster zero yards per carry. While three picked up at least five total tackles, Morris stood above the rest. He rushed for 70 yards and two TDs. Idalia didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.6.
Idalia's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. Jace Morris was especially locked on to Sierra Grande's QB and sacked him twice. Idalia got some further help from Gabe Kechter: he made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Peetz faced Otis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Peetz won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Otis 31-30.
Idalia's record is now 12-0. As for Peetz, their record now sits at 11-0.
Saturday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Idalia has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 245.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Peetz struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 240.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Idalia against Peetz in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 64-12 win. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
