Basketball Recap: John Bartram Comes Up Short

John Bartram fought the good fight in their overtime match against Hill Freedman World Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 69-68 to Hill Freedman World Academy. While the Braves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Hill Freedman World Academy 18-13 in the first quarter.

Jaiden Copeland was his usual excellent self, going 9-for-14 on his way to 24 points and six boards for Hill Freedman World Academy. Copeland is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dahkenah Wilkins, who posted 12 points.

John Bartram's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Hill Freedman World Academy, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

John Bartram does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hill Freedman World Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 96-42 defeat against Imhotep Charter on the 11th.
