Southwest came into Friday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past the Eastern Hills Highlanders with a 20-14 win on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Southwest's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Eastern Hills, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Southwest is set to square off against their familiar foe Diamond Hill-Jarvis at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Eastern Hills will take on rival Carter-Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Christopher Johnson and Deandre Fields.
