Soccer Recap: Cambridge Christian Comes Up Short

Cambridge Christian and Redeemer Christian combined for 12 shots on goal on Friday, which explains the impressive nine total goals scored. The Cambridge Christian Lancers lost 6-3 to the Redeemer Christian Lions. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Lancers were already down 4-1.

Robert Moore and Mark Meister scored all three of Cambridge Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Cambridge Christian's loss dropped their record down to 14-4-2. As for Redeemer Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6-1.

Cambridge Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Universal Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. Cambridge Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.1 goals per game this season. Redeemer Christian has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Palatka on the 18th.
