Volleyball Recap: Union Grove Victorious

Union Grove picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Madison Memorial Spartans 2-1.

Tyler Johnson paced Union Grove's offense, picking up nine kills. Johnson got some help from Asher Gonzales and his 18 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Union Grove is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-19 record this season. As for Madison Memorial, they moved to 8-17 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Union Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Hartford on the 11th. As for Madison Memorial, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Franklin on the 11th.
