Basketball Recap: Mountlake Terrace Takes a Loss

Mountlake Terrace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors and fell 74-46. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

It was another big night for Cam Hiatt, who went 10 for 14 on his way to 23 points and five rebounds for Edmonds-Woodway. Hiatt has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Grant Williams was another key player, going 7 of 8 on his way to 17 points.

Mountlake Terrace now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Edmonds-Woodway, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Mountlake Terrace will be playing in front of their home fans against Shorewood at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edmonds-Woodway, they will venture away from home to square off against Shorecrest at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Shorecrest knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Edmonds-Woodway likes a good challenge.
