Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Verrado walked away with it. They came out on top against the Notre Dame Prep Saints by a score of 5-1 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Vipers as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Jill Ryan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jaiden Stell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Sanaa Holliday, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Verrado's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Notre Dame Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-8.

As of now, neither Verrado nor the Saints have any future games scheduled.
