Basketball Game Preview: Hopewell Titans vs. Central Cabarrus Vikings + Official Tickets

The Hopewell Titans will take on the Central Cabarrus Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Hopewell has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Central Cabarrus will arrive with three straight victories.

Hopewell is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Rocky River on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Titans took a blow against the Ravens, falling 78-11. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-11.

Despite the loss, Hopewell saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kennidy Farley posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Central Cabarrus was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past York 55-11.

Hopewell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Central Cabarrus, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Hopewell took a serious blow against Central Cabarrus when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 51-11. Thankfully for the Titans, Kyra Lewis (who went 5-for-10 en route to 16 points and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
