Baseball Game Preview: Denmark vs. Alpharetta Raiders

Denmark will face off against the Alpharetta Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Denmark is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since March 24th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against North Forsyth, sneaking past 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Denmark.

The team relied heavily on Luke Althardt, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Alpharetta had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on North Atlanta with a sharp 12-5 win on Friday. The Raiders not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20th.

Denmark's victory bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Alpharetta, their win bumped their record up to 6-21.

Denmark might still be hurting after the 11-2 loss they got from Alpharetta in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Denmark avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
