Softball Recap: Plainfield Central Wildcats vs. Naperville North Huskies
Plainfield Central won the last time they faced Naperville North and things went their way on Friday too. Plainfield Central came out on top against Naperville North by a score of 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.
Kierney Latarewicz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits.
On the hitting side, Sophia Patterson and Ava Sommerfeld did most of the damage at the plate: Patterson got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one double, while Sommerfeld scored a run while going 2-for-3.
