Basketball Recap: Harding Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Harding Academy had won six straight home games and Chazaiah Curry did his part to make it seven on Tuesday. The Harding Academy Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-63 victory over the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx thanks in part to Curry, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (three).

Fred Martin was another key player, putting up 15 points and five rebounds. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Despite the loss, Lausanne Collegiate still got an impressive performance from Zuri Mcclure, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 18 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Taylor, who went 7 for 15 en route to 15 points and six rebounds.

Harding Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Harding Academy has already played their next contest, a 67-52 victory against St. George's on the 17th. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-36 defeat against Evangelical Christian on the 17th.
