Recap: Lakewood vs. Flora
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Flora and Lakewood. Flora put a hurting on Lakewood to the tune of 52-7.the rankings were on Flora's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result
The matchup started off well for Flora, whose offense put up 28 first-half points. Meanwhile, Lakewood couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 28-0 heading into the break. Flora put the contest away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and seven points allowed from the defense. The win bumped their record up to 4-2. The loss dropped Lakewood back to even at 3-3.
Flora will take on Orangeburg-Wilkinson at home at 7:30 PM next week. Orangeburg-Wilkinson took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Flora's good fortune. As for Lakewood, they will face off against Lower Richland.
