Basketball Recap: Wayne Christian Takes a Loss

Wayne Christian lost against John Paul II Catholic back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wayne Christian Eagles fell 47-35 to the John Paul II Catholic Saints.

Jamal Biggs was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 16 on his way to 20 points and four steals for John Paul II Catholic. That makes it three consecutive games in which Biggs has scored at least a third of John Paul II Catholic's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Gray-Hudnell, who posted four points and 11 rebounds.

Wayne Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for John Paul II Catholic, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-4.

Wayne Christian will challenge Coastal Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for John Paul II Catholic, they will face off against Epiphany at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. John Paul II Catholic is facing Epiphany at the right time seeing as Epiphany is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
