Basketball Game Preview: Forest Bearcats vs. Ridgeland Titans

The Forest Bearcats and the Ridgeland Titans will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeland took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Forest, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Forest duked it out withSebastopol on Friday. Forest walked away with a 50-37 victory over Sebastopol.

Meanwhile, Ridgeland came up short against Callaway on Friday and fell 55-44. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Chargers are ranked 12th).

Forest has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Ridgeland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Forest came up short against Ridgeland when the teams last played back in November of 2020, falling 50-43. Can Forest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
