Volleyball Recap: Hilton Takes a Loss

Hilton lost against Victor back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cadets lost 3-0 to the Blue Devils. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cadets have suffered against the Blue Devils since October 12, 2021.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-11.

Victor got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Graney out in front who had 15 assists and six digs. That's the most digs Graney has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Phan, who had nine digs and two assists.

Hilton is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11. As for Victor, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6-4 record this season.

Hilton and Victor should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Cadets (ranked 61st) will meet Newark (ranked 257th) at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Victor will square off against East Aurora at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (16 vs. 244).
