The Livermore Cowboys will head out to take on the Foothill Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Livermore is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 28 points per game this season.

Livermore had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 24-point drubbing they dealt Redwood Christian last Friday. The Cowboys were the clear victors by a 31-7 margin over the Eagles. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cowboys' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Eagles are ranked 822nd).

The critical scores for Livermore came from CT Harper, Matteo Lortie, Shane Patterson, and AJ Carey.

Meanwhile, Foothill played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Dublin 52-7. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-0.

Livermore will have to contain Amaree Hill as he made an impact in Foothill's last game. He rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

Foothill has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Livermore, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Livermore strolled past Foothill when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 31-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
