Baseball Recap: Byng's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Byng). They were the clear victors by a 21-4 margin over the Durant Lions on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Pirates with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory keeps Byng at an undefeated 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average this season. As for Durant, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Byng will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pauls Valley at 5:00 p.m. on April 10. As for Durant, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Claremore at 5:00 p.m. Claremore's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Durant's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
