Softball Recap: Osbourn Park Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Osbourn Park ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Paul VI Panthers 15-13. The Yellowjackets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jenna Wilson was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, seven RBI, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gauri Saigal, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Osbourn Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .425. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

This will be Osbourn Park's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Paul VI, they will take on Lightridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lightridge will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Paul VI surely won't give up without a fight.
