Basketball Recap: Colstrip Comes Up Short

Colstrip was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 69-50 bruising from the Huntley Project Red Devils. The Colts were not able to make up for their loss to the Red Devils from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Huntley Project got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was ANDERSON MCNIVEN out in front who went 9 for 19 on his way to 21 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. MCNIVEN is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last eight games he's played. JAKE COOK was another key player, going 7 of 12 en route to 15 points along with eight assists and seven boards.

Colstrip now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Huntley Project, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colstrip has already played their next matchup (against Joliet), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Huntley Project has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Sweet Grass County.
