Basketball Recap: Washburn Takes a Loss

Washburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets 73-39. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by exactly 34 points.

Matthew Harville and Dillon Mullins certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Harville went 6 of 15 en route to 15 points, while Mullins posted 15 points.

Washburn's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Oak Forest Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.

Washburn and Orange Beach will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oak Forest Academy, they will take on Oak Hall in a tournament on Monday.
