El Camino hasn't had much luck against Mission Hills recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

El Camino is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Mt. Carmel on Friday. They came up short against the Sundevils, falling 11-2.

El Camino got a good showing from Kaden Zimmerman, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Zimmerman gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, El Camino saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Orman, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Mission Hills and Del Norte meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Grizzlies lost 8-2 to the Nighthawks.

Mission Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for El Camino, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

El Camino couldn't quite finish off Mission Hills in their previous meeting back in February of 2019 and fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
