Soccer Recap: Independence Starts Season with Win at Home

Independence took care of business in their home opener on Monday (barely). They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Argyle Eagles 2-1.

Aayush Nayaar and Christian Bourg scored both of Independence's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Independence will take on Samuell in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Argyle, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mansfield Summit at 1:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
