Softball Recap: Notre Dame Takes a Loss

Notre Dame was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Pembroke Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Irish of the 8-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Olivia Gillard was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Falleti, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Pembroke, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Notre Dame will head out to challenge Aquinas Institute at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pembroke, they will challenge Attica at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
