Basketball Recap: West Iron County Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Negaunee, West Iron County was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They pulled ahead with a 43-42 photo finish over the Gwinn Modeltowners. For the Wykons, this counts as revenge for the 51-40 win the Modeltowners walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

West Iron County's victory bumped their record up to 2-13. As for Gwinn, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-9.

West Iron County has already played their next matchup (against Kingsford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gwinn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-17 win against Hancock on the 4th.
