Basketball Game Preview: Ridgewood Maroons vs. Eastside Ghosts

The Ridgewood Maroons will take on the Eastside Ghosts at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Ridgewood beat Ramapo 46-38. That's two games straight that the Maroons have won by exactly eight points.

Meanwhile, Eastside waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 41-37 W against the Knights.

Eastside's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points over those games. As for Ridgewood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Ridgewood didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Eastside in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 51-45 win. Will Ridgewood repeat their success, or does Eastside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
