Softball Recap: Oakfield Comes Up Short

Oakfield fell victim to Appleton East and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 1-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Oaks were not able to get on the board.

Oakfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Appleton East, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.

Oakfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Mishicot on the 10th. As for Appleton East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-2 loss against Union Grove on the 10th.
