Basketball Recap: Faith Longhorns vs. Wall Eagles
Faith was the 83-72 winner over Wall when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Faith Longhorns had to suffer through a 68-35 loss at the hands of the Wall Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Eagles are ranked 50th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wall to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emmet Dinger, who went 8 of 19 en route to 19 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Teelan Kjerstad, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points in addition to six assists and five steals.
Faith's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Wall, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
Faith wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-56 defeat against Hettinger/Scranton on the 11th. As for Wall, they will take on Timber Lake at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
