Softball Recap: Wesson Comes Up Short

Wesson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 34-21 to the Lawrence County Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 back in February.

Wesson's record is now 3-8. As for Lawrence County, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

Looking ahead, Wesson will be playing in front of their home fans against West Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lawrence County, they will head out on the road to take on South Pike at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Cougars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
