Volleyball Recap: Thunder Ridge Takes a Loss

Thunder Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Bennington Bulldogs. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.

Mara Pickering had a dynamite game For Bennington., getting 23 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Pickering has posted over her last eight games. Taleigh Watson also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Thunder Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Bennington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

Thunder Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Ell-Saline on the 20th. As for Bennington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Sylvan-Lucas on the 20th.
