Football Recap: North Knox Comes Up Short

After flying high against North Central last Friday, North Knox came back down to earth. The Warriors took a 33-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Princeton Tigers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 27-13 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why North Knox lost, don't look at Camden McCory. Despite the final result, he rushed for 195 yards and four scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.

Karwin Pope produced another solid performance rushing for 274 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per carry for Princeton. Pope was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards.

North Knox's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Princeton, the win also got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Knox will host Linton-Stockton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Princeton, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Boonville at 7:00 p.m.
