Volleyball Recap: North Kitsap Vikings vs. South Kitsap Wolves
North Kitsap kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the South Kitsap Wolves. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.
After all that action, the final score was 25-15, 25-23, 25-20.
South Kitsap found their leader in underclassman Payton Elmore, who had 12 digs and four aces. Elmore is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had five or more in the last nine games she's played dating back to last season.
The win (which was South Kitsap's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
North Kitsap will head out on the road to challenge Bremerton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Kitsap, they will take on Ridgeline at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
