Football Preview: Catawba Ridge Copperheads vs. East Gaston Warriors
The Catawba Ridge Copperheads will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the East Gaston Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Catawba Ridge focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday.
Catawba Ridge is leaving town to face East Gaston after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Catawba Ridge took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chapin. The defeat leaves the Copperheads without a win on the season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Darius Sutton, who picked up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown. Brady Ambrose also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.
East Gaston kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They received a blow as they fell 24-7 to North Gaston.
