Recap: Bel Air Highlanders vs. Del Valle Conquistadores
The Bel Air Highlanders entered their tilt with the Del Valle Conquistadores with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Bel Air took their contest on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 68-14 victory over Del Valle. That 54 points margin sets a new team best for Bel Air this season.
Leading Bel Air to victory were Alyssa Saldana and Adalyn Palomo. Saldana scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Palomo scored 18 points along with six assists and three steals. Saldana is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Acosta, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bel Air pushed their record up to 20-3 with that win, which was their 16th straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Del Valle, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bel Air will face off against Hanks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hanks is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Del Valle, they will head out on the road to face off against Horizon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
