Soccer Recap: Manatee Gets the Win

Manatee's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons, sneaking past 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Hurricanes were the better team in the second half.

Aurelius Pena and Mario Arroyo-Alonso scored both of Manatee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Manatee pushed their record up to 7-3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three matches. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3-1.

Manatee is taking a road trip to take on Palmetto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Seffner Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
