Burlington won the last time they faced Independence and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

While Burlington won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23.

Burlington was led to victory by Jaycee Belcher and Adisyn Sleezer. Belcher had nine digs and two aces, while Sleezer had seven digs. That's the most aces Belcher has posted over her last ten contests. Korryn Bolen also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Burlington's win bumped their record up to 26-6. As for Independence, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-14-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Burlington and Independence will both be playing Anderson County the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
