Football Recap: Overland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Overland fell victim to Arvada West and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Wildcats, falling 70-0. While losing is never fun, the Trailblazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Wildcats are ranked seventh).

Logan Duhachek produced another solid effort throwing for 228 yards and five TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punching in one rushing score for Arvada West. The dominant performance also gave Duhachek a new career-high in passer rating (154.9). Keegen Balistreri was in the mix as well, providing Arvada West with two scores.

Overland is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Arvada West, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overland will head out to square off against Mountain Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Arvada West, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Denver South at 4:00 p.m. on October 3.
