Basketball Recap: Eastern Greene Comes Up Short

Eastern Greene lost against Loogootee back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds fell just short of the Lions by a score of 49-47. The matchup marked the Thunderbirds' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Eastern Greene lost, don't look at Coby Sykes. Despite the final result, he went 10-for-19 en route to 23 points. Sykes' big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Kyan Hudson, who posted eight points and five assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Eastern Greene and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Loogootee, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
