Volleyball Game Preview: Plainville Cardinals vs. Natoma Tigers

The Plainville Cardinals will challenge the Natoma Tigers on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Plainville came up short against Smith Center and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Natoma also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Thunder Ridge by a score of 2-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Thunder Ridge scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21.

Natoma's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Plainville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Plainville was able to grind out a solid win over Natoma when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
