             Summit Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They took a  blow against the Serra Catholic Eagles, falling  42-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the  46-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2021.
 Serra Catholic got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Mason Jones out in front who rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. The dominant performance gave  Jones a new career-high in  rushing yards. Another back making a difference was  Brady Vrcic, who rushed for 42 yards and two touchdowns.
 Summit Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Serra Catholic,  the  win snapped their losing streak at six games  dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-4 record.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summit Academy will venture away from home to  challenge Rochester  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Summit Academy is facing Rochester at the right time seeing as Rochester is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Serra Catholic, they are on the road again  on Friday to play Cornell at 7:00  p.m. Cornell's defense has only allowed 10.2  points per game  this season, so Serra Catholic's offense will have their work cut out for them.
