Basketball Recap: Rawlins County's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Rawlins County won the last time they faced Triplains/Brewster, and Shaun Lare did his part to make sure it happened again. The Rawlins County Buffaloes blew past the Triplains/Brewster Titans 60-16 on Tuesday thanks in part to Lare, who posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Those 13 points gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Austin Chumley, who went 6 for 11 en route to 12 points and six rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Rawlins County moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Triplains/Brewster, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Rawlins County will look to defend their home court on Friday against Greeley County at 7:00 p.m. Rawlins County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Triplains/Brewster, they will venture away from home to challenge Bethune at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Triplains/Brewster is facing Bethune at the right time seeing as Bethune is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
